Is it really just in the genes or can we do anything to prevent the deep lines and dry skin that ages us prematurely? Remember how we felt when  in our teen age years, our skin was baby soft. We took it for granted-thinking it was invincible. We laid in the sun for hours, tanning our bodies to a golden brown shade. Thisanti aging skin care guidecan give you some tips to get that skin to die for.

Now some of us, over the age of 40 are paying a heavy price with skin that's turning to leather before our eyes. Is there anything that can be done to stop it? Is it possible to get at least some of that youthful elasticity back?

There are two types of aging that affects our bodies, intrinsic (our hereditary genes) and extrinsic (external reasons such as exposure to the sun's rays). While some deterioration of the skin happens naturally as we age, there are ways we can lessen the effects of aging. These include:

  • Minimize repetitive facial expressions, such as frowning, smiling, or raising your brows repeatedly. These things can cause those deep furrows around your eyes, mouth and across the forehead. Until you gain control of your expression, keep your skin lubricated withanti aging wrinkle creams.
  • Watch your sleeping positions. Do you sleep with your face in the pillow or on your side with your face lying on the pillow? If you do. You'll eventually discover you have sleeping lines across your cheeks and chin. To minimize this type of wrinkle, try to sleep on your back.
  • Wear sunscreen. Be sure your choose a broad spectrum (UVA and UVB) protections and at least 15 or higher SPF.
  • If you smoke-quit! Smoking can cause wrinkles and unsightly lines to go along with a yellowish, leathery texture. When you finally quit you will start to see these things disappear.

Although, you can't do a whole lot about intrinsic or genetic factors, which contribute to aging, you can decide to have a medical treatment to try to turn back the hands of time, such as dermabrasion, chemical peeling, or injectable fillers. There are constantly new procedures arriving on the scene to take the place of more invasive procedures like a face lift. They may be worth checking out.

Just some food for thought, if you suffer anxiety over your  appearance, you may choose to see a dermatologist, to discuss the latest options. However, if this is not an option, there are many morenatural anti aging wrinkle creamson the market that can turn back the hands of time. Then you will be over 40 years old, with skin to die for.
