Acne is one of those pesky conditions that sometimes just never seems to clear up on its own. Why it seems to affect some people more than others is still a mystery and the root cause of it is still largely unknown. What is known is that left unchecked, acne can have a devastating effect on a person's self image and can hold them back from reaching their full potential.
The symptoms of acne usually include pimples on sensitive oily skin; blackheads and red marks on the face and cheeks and pock marks which can even lead to deep acne scars.
Some people try homemade oily skin washes and creams but these do not work because they do not stop the production of the oil, and the condition returns shortly afterward. Commercially available products also do not work and can even create more problems.
Sometimes when someone tries an acne treatment which doesn't work they can end up feeling even worse than before, with lower self esteem and a reduced quality of life. Some long term sufferers develop clinical depression and will hide themselves away, ashamed to be seen in public.
Part of the reason most acne treatments don't work is that the manufacturers of the products have a vested interest in prolonging the condition. They want to continue selling their products, so they focus on relieving just one or two of the symptoms, knowing that the acne sufferer will be back in a few weeks to buy some more.
The truth is that chemical based creams and gels will not work in the long run and the chronic acne sufferer needs to make some " target="_self lifestyle changes to stop their acne problem before it leaves them scarred permanently.
If you have ever felt despair due to this condition and have asked yourself "how will I ever get rid of this acne?" then you are not alone. Many others have been there as well, and many have found effective treatment by changing a few things in their lifestyle .
Sometimes changing your diet can bring good results. The main thing is to continue searching and trying natural methods, and realise that gels and creams will not work but with perseverance, it is possible to find an effective cure.
