No doubt that smoking affects your heart badly...When you start smoking a cigarette your heart beats faster and faster, till the last breath in that cigarette, and it starts relaxing when you finish it. Pretty good proof that your body doesn't like cigarettes, if you ask me. Also it affects your blood circulation, during and after smoking as Nicotine causes some changes to your nervous system (What with the causing of a hard beating of your heart).

Another thing, when the cigarettes burn they produce very dangerous poisonous materials, when this poisonous smoke flows to your blood steam it prevents the oxygen from reaching different parts of your body, to overcome this shortage of oxygen because your organs will not work properly unless there is a sufficient supply of oxygen. Your brain will send signals to your heart to increase the heart beat to try and supply more oxygen to your body...The increase in the heart rate gives one a feeling of fatigue, and the longer you smoke, the longer your heart rate stays high, this results in the heart & arteries damage, and in some cases it causes heart failure.

After knowing all these scientific facts, you still want to smoke? If you decided to quit smoking, you'll have a healthy strong heart, you'll give your heart a chance to relax and work efficiently, you'll reap the benefits of quitting smoking from the first day, and your heart beat rate will be decrease in the first half day and starts to improve day by day.

Also when you quit smoking you give your lungs a chance to work more properly without the effects of the poisonous smoke on it, so your lungs become more capable of holding more amount of energy, this makes the amount of energy at the lungs sufficient for some processes requiring less effort to be done by the heart.

Smoking has been always the enemy of exercise because your respiration doesn't go normal when you're a smoker, thus, smoking also affects your physical activity as a whole. This is so threatening because exercising is one of the most important things to do in your life to keep yourself away from diseases, so start now and quit smoking and invest in your life.

That'd be the best thing to do, in my opinion!
