Hair loss is a natural phenomenon, it happens to everyone everyday. Everyday, our scalps shed away a number of hairs which will be replaced in time. The process of replacement however gradually slows down due to various factors among which include aging. Once the rate of replacement is exceeded by the rate of shedding, hair thinning or balding begins to take place. Baldness though natural it is somehow embarrassing and it tends to take away ones confidence. This is so for there is a lot of stigma that is associated with baldness. One stigmatization that is associated with baldness is age, once you have a bald head, most people tend to look at you as a person who has really advanced in age. If you are in your youth and you develop a bald head, then you may be in trouble, those young girls may not look your way. Some even think that a person develops baldness because of thinking too much and always being stressed. All these statements are not true, but they all strip away someone's confidence.

What then can be done so that one can get back their confidence again, or is there a way in which a person can get his/her hair back? It is good to know that with today's modern technology it is now possible to get your hair back with some of these hair replacement procedures. One common procedure for hair loss cure is hair transplanting. With this procedure, any areas that are experiencing hair loss will be given new active hair follicles that are derived from donor sections of the scalp that have good hair growth. This is a surgical procedure in which the individual hair follicles are extracted one by one and are transplanted to the receiver area of the scalp. The good part of this procedure is that results are almost guaranteed and the fact that the donated hair follicles come from the same patient's head, means that there will be no rejection issues. Once the hair follicles are established, hair growth will continue as normal.

The other hair replacement procedure is laser therapy. This procedure is non surgical, patients are exposed to controlled intensities of laser radiation on the scalp. The result is that resting or dormant hair follicles are stimulated to come out of dormancy and start to produce hair strands again. The success of the procedure is however determined by the condition of the patient and particularly the reason for the cause of baldness. Laser treatment is a costly treatment and may cost as much as 2-3 thousand dollars, depending on the number of sessions one has to go for.

So, there is no longer need to feel rejected or stigmatized because of being bald. All you need to do is get in touch with your personal doctor, and collect all the necessary information on hair replacement therapy. Your doctor will also help you decide the best procedure that suits your condition.
