How to build healthy friendships in 10 simple steps

Do you have healthy friendships? How is your relationship with your friends?

Building healthy relationships and friendships is an art that many people do not know about. Many people do not know how to deal with others and hence, fail to make close friends and their relationships with others deteriorate

To respect people's emotions and opinions and to show them that you really care about them is the key to building healthy friendships and to reaching people's hearts. When you show people that you appreciate them, you build trust and respect with them.

Studies show that people who are selfish and greedy, don't get to make many close relationships and friendships since the majority of people do not like to have friends who are selfish or who try to exploit others to get what they want.

Your relationships with people is an art that you have to keep working on, so you can build healthy friendships with your colleagues, acquaintances, and friends.

To buildhealthy friendships, follow the guidelines below:

1. Show people that you care about them.

2. Be supportive.

3. Be altruistic.

4. Express how you feel about people in a sincere way.

5. Treat people as you like to be treated.

6. Listen to your friends when they need someone to talk to.

7. Offer constructive criticism and stay away from non-constructive criticism.

8. Be forgiving.

9. Spend time together.

10. Laugh with each other.

Always remember what Ralph Emerson said, "The only way to have a friend is to be one."
