Are you having trouble sleeping at night? Well you are not alone a lot of people worldwide have trouble falling asleep at night and there are many different reasons why this can happen. However you will be glad to know that there are a few things that you can do to help you fall asleep faster and better.

Firstly, you can try reduce your screen time before bed. Now we all love to check out our Facebook or clear up your DVR programming or maybe even play video games into the wee hours of the morning. Regardless, checking your email or watching television just before bedtime tricks your brain. The exposure to light stimulates your brain creating a false sense of alertness and stimulation making it difficult for you to go to sleep.

Secondly, you should eat to enhance your sleep. You already know that warm milk, chamomile tea and turkey can help you sleep. There are other foods too like bananas, potatoes, oatmeal and wholemeal bread can also help you get into a sleeping mood.

Thirdly, be sure to exercise. Exercising provides many great health benefits, a sexy physique and also sleep of course. You should try exercising in the morning or afternoon not at night. The National Sleep Foundation reports that exercise in the morning or afternoon can help deepen shut eye and cut the time it takes for you to wonder off into dreamland.

If the tips above do not help you with your sleeplessness you might want to look into sleeping aids. Natural sleep aids are the better choice because they work by enhancing the hormones already created by your body to help you get that shut eye.
