I know that diagnosis is the one that really everyone hates as it has told about the enemy cancer. But I read a good thought about diagnosis, consider it as an alarm which went off already or a thief who has entered the house already.. what you can do about it? and is the house got lost because of it NO!..

I agree that you always feel better than the day before diagnosis.. no question and the day after diagnosis is one hard day to pass by..

The secret is second opinion..

But it is not end of the world.. with diagnosis came the options of treatment. And with no disrespect to the physician whom you trust, but always go for a second opinion with another physician, search on internet or reach out to cancer support group or other organizations in your region. It is always better as the physician might tell you what she or he is aware of physically he or she could gather but there might be better treatment options available so reach out to them. It is always two brains, four eyes and four ears are better than one brain, two eyes and two ears.

Any competent doctor will not get intimidated with you asking for the medical records and if he or she will not welcome any new insight, then you can ask this question as to what will happen if his or her treatment options run out? or is your treatment options limited to his or her knowledge? you deserve for better option with cancer - no question on this.
