There are many products on the market that help you to ensure your gums stay healthy. But sometimes we can end up spending a fortune weekly to maintain healthy teeth and gums.

In reality, a lot of your supermarket own branded products will the same as the more expensive ones. But did you know that there is a simple method that you can use to ensure that your teeth and gums are looked after - without spending a fortune.

For this method you do not need to spend more than a few dollars every month. You never know it may even save you a few extra trips to your dentist. You will need to spend your money on a decent toothbrush and some dental floss.

Step 1
Always start with the floss. We end up eating a fair amount of food during the day. And there are part of your gums that the average toothbrush cannot reach. So the best thing you can do is scoop all that plaque and food from out of the far reaches of your toothbrush. A good floss should take no more than a couple of minutes.

Step 2
Brushing your teeth should last about two full minutes. Don't brush them like you want to strip the enamel from them. Just good circular and up and down strokes. And don't forget to spend 30 second brushing behind the back. If you drink coffee or smoke this is the part of your teeth that show up when you look behind them.

Step 3
Mouthwash is the final piece of your super teeth cleaning process. Most will do but try to avoid ones with lots of alcohol. Stick to a mouthwash that offers an all day plaque protection.

So follow these steps to ensure your teeth and gums stay healthy. It's the best dental care you can have. However always have a regular visit with your dentist.
