Once you have hypertension or high blood pressure, maintaining good blood pressure should be part of your plan. Although doctor's checked-up and prescribed drugs are important yet doing natural ways to lower your BP is still the best because it could stay off to your medication in your entire life. Here are some tips to maintain good blood pressure.

Lose weight
There can be a dramatic impact to your health once you lose some pounds. A heavy weight person can hardly move so much so that the heart is hard to work pushing blood to the veins and the other parts of the body. But in losing weight, it can make you healthier and at the same time lower your blood pressure.

Regular exercise
Regular exercise is what our body needs. Just devote thirty minutes of your time per day for at least three times in a week for a regular exercise. You can do any of these: walking, strolling, jogging, swimming, or joining any of the sports activities. Regular exercise reduces stress, pressure and anxiety and can give you a more active and energetic life free from any sickness particularly
cardiovascular diseases

More fresh fruits and vegetables
Fresh fruits and vegetables contain more fibers and other essential nutrients our body needs. These are good not only for lowering blood pressure but also for losing weight.

Minimize use of salt
To avoid high blood pressure, the use of salt in foods prepared in the table must be reduced. Instead, it is important to eat unprocessed and organic fruits and vegetables because these are sodium free.
Avoid alcohol, tobacco, prohibited drugs and caffeine
These vices give more risk to high blood pressure or hypertension. They can bring deleterious effects to our body to the extent of damaging our body tissues and preventing the flow of blood as well as the supply of oxygen to our heart and the brain.
Eliminating them is the best way to stay fit and right and away from any disease particularly heart diseases.

Yoga
Staying calm and relaxed, both physical and emotional can be considered as part of a healthy lifestyle. One method to do this is through yoga which is usually done by stretching, meditation and deep breathing. This helps in making our body flexible and more mobile and improves cardiovascular health. These are activities which are considered more relaxing ones by taking away all worries, stress, anxiety and pressure.

Tai-Chi
This is another relaxing exercise common to Chinese which is usually done with slow movement of the body coordinating with deep and controlled breathing exercise. Like yoga, it can also help make our body more relaxed. This is more advisable to the senior citizens since it could make the body and muscles more flexible. It can make both body and mind calm and relax.
Considering all of the above for sure you'll have a healthier, happier and longer life.
