Bed bugs can really freak a person out.  They can also spread like wildfire if they are not taken care of.  What you need to remember is that they are not killed by simply running a vacuum or by spraying a chemical on the infected area.

Follow these steps exactly in order to get rid of your bed bug infestation.

1.)   Start by running the vacuum on the bed and around the bed on the carpet.  Once you have done this you will want to remove the bag and place it into a plastic bag. Then set it out in the sun and let it sit in order to heat up and kill the bugs.

2.)   Wash everything!  You must wash all of your bed clothes and blankets. Do the same thing with the mattress cover and your pillows.  Wash them all in HOT water.

3.)   Once everything has been washed you will want to place what you can in plastic bags and leave them sitting to help prevent any bugs from laying more eggs.

4.)   Clean your carpets with a really strong carpet cleaner once you have vacuumed everything really well.

5.)   Clean out the area around the bed. When you do this you will want to get rid of newspapers and books that may be infested with bugs. Also wash any fabric that may be around, like your curtains, just like you did the bed clothes.

Keep in mind that doing these things may not make the problem better the first time.  However, repeat the process as many times as you need to in order to get perfect results. Bed bugs can become a real nuisance if not treaded right away. They breed fast and even some species bite. Make sure you get rid of the bed bugs a quick as possible.
